Michael is a qualified, HCPC registered, lead physiotherapist who graduated in 2014 from Otago University in Aotearoa/New Zealand, where he has lived all his life.
Over the years, he has worked predominantly in private practices with side-line sports medic duties for many teams (predominantly high-performance representative rugby union). He is interested in treating sports injuries but has also worked with seniors, post-operative orthopaedic patients, children and patients of all different backgrounds.
Michael has a hands-on approach to his treatments, utilising manual therapy, joint manipulation, soft tissue massage and dry needling to facilitate each individual’s journey through rehabilitation. He has an evidence-based approach to his rehabilitation protocols and management. He believes strongly that a multi-faceted approach through physical treatment, patient-specific exercises, lifestyle changes and patient mindset provides the most significant outcomes for his patients.
Back in New Zealand, Michael enjoyed playing all sports, including; basketball, touch rugby, volleyball, indoor netball, surfing, mountain biking and football.
